ABOUT DR EMILY

Dr. Emily developed a passion for optometry at a young age after needing glasses and vision therapy. She enjoys that optometry continues to allow her to learn and better serve her patients and is honoured to be able to do that in her own community.

 

Dr. Emily grew up in a rural town in Norfolk county before she completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Guelph. She then pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston. Her education there gave her extensive clinical experience and allowed her the opportunity to diagnose and treat ocular disease in a variety of settings including two Veterans Affairs hospitals, a community health centre, and an Indian Health Services clinic in Alaska. After graduating in 2017 she practised optometry in Boston for two years before deciding to move home to Ontario to be closer to family.

After moving back to Ontario, Dr. Emily and her husband decided to settle in Port Credit with their beloved doodle, Otis. When she’s not seeing patients, you can find her enjoying our great village with her family or on her Peloton!

Dr. Emily is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the College of Optometrists of Ontario. She is board certified in both Canada and the US.

Dr. Emily is accepting new patients and enjoys seeing patients of all ages!
